Join us for a workshop and tabletop exercise on Jun 19, 2018 at 8:30 AM CDT.
As a partner in the Chicago Health Care Coalition, you are cordially invited to participate in the CHSCPR 2018 New Healthcare Partners Workshop and Tabletop Exercise. This workshop will be conducted online via webinar and will present information to assist new Health Care Coalition partners with compliance efforts related to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Emergency Preparedness Rule, and present foundations of Incident Command System (ICS) for all those new to and involved with incident command. Also, the workshop focuses on benefits of Healthcare Coalition membership, assisting new members with technical resources related to the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule requirements, and essentials of the Incident Command System. Following the workshop, we will conduct a tabletop exercise with an extreme heat scenario in Chicago that focuses on application of incident command basics and CMS Rule concepts through a variety of facilitated scenario-based discussions.
Please only have one person register on behalf of your organization. We encourage you and your team to participate together as a group!
Also – it is important to note that participation in this workshop/tabletop exercise is limited to ONLY those healthcare organizations who are members of the Chicago Healthcare System Coalition for Preparedness and Response.

Participants understand the purpose, membership, and operational tenets, as well as their role within the Health Care Coalition.
Participants understand the foundational principles of the ICS/HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) structure and describe the roles/responsibilities of key positions in their facility’s command structure during a disaster response.
Participants understand how to integrate and update their communications plan with the Health Care Coalition notification protocol, the communication pathways, and the modes of communication between their facility and the Health Care Coalition.
Participants demonstrate the process to share information with Health Care Coalition partners and the mechanisms to effectively coordinate with Health Care Coalition partners during a disaster response.
Participants apply the Health Care Coalition Resource Request process (i.e., 213RR) to address continuity of care needs.
