Stop the Bleed: Bleeding Control Basic (BCon) Course

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This course is designed to train individuals on what to do as an immediate responder in a bleeding emergency and covers the ABCs of blessing as a method to stop an active bleed. The course includes a class presentation and hands-on skills demonstration on tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure application.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will:
- Receive tips on how to present the materials
- And ways to provide a positive learning experience when teaching a Bleeding Control Basic course will be discussed
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Licensed healthcare providers are eligible to become instructors
