About Elisabeth

Elisabeth K. Weber is Projects Administrator of the Hospital/Healthcare Preparedness Program at the Chicago Department of Public Health.  In her current role, Elisabeth has led all aspects of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Hospital Preparedness Program since 2009, including grant preparation, implementation, and evaluation.  Elisabeth’s prior experience includes management of the Emergency Preparedness Program and Director of Emergency Services at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago; Administrative Manager of Emergency Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital; Unit Manager of the Emergency Department at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland; and Assistant Nurse Manager of Adult Emergency Services at Bellevue Hospital in New York City.  Elisabeth received her Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from New York University and her BSN from Case Western Reserve University.  Elisabeth is an Advanced Practice Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist, National Healthcare Disaster Professional-Board Certified, and Certified Emergency Nurse.
