CDC ORR has released its FY 2024 strategic plan, which reflects ORR’s role in helping the nation prepare for and respond to urgent threats to the public’s health. The plan includes updated strategies and key annual focus areas that address health equity, community mitigation, and evaluation, as well as ongoing programmatic and response priorities for the year.
CDC Director Mandy Cohen has identified readiness and response to health threats as one of CDC’s four priorities for 2024. The other CDC priorities for 2024 include improving mental health, supporting young families, and moving forward – one CDC. ORR’s strategic plan aligns with and supports the agency’s readiness and response initiative. ORR will lead CDC’s strategic readiness and response activities across the agency and with external partners.
