CDC’s response to the outbreak of A(H5N1) bird flu in dairy cattle includes working with states to finalize and standardize study protocols for state-led field studies; beginning weekly reporting on the numbers of people being monitored and tested for A(H5N1) viruses; and engaging manufacturers and clinicians on the development of commercial H5N1 tests.
