CISA, ASD ACSC, and other international partners have released updates to the Secure by Design Alert, Choosing Secure and Verifiable Technologies. This guidance is designed to help organizations make secure and informed procurement decisions in response to increasing cyber threats. In collaboration with the CCCS, the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, and others, the update emphasizes the importance of selecting digital products and services that are secure from the start, thereby reducing long-term risks and operational costs.
Organizations are encouraged to evaluate both the products and the manufacturers to ensure security is integrated throughout the lifecycle. Manufacturers are urged to adopt secure development practices and provide transparent vulnerability reporting.
Following these guidelines will help organizations enhance resilience, protect user privacy, and mitigate risks associated with cyber incidents. For more information, visit the Secure by Design Alert.
