CDC presenter Kevin Chatham-Stephens, who leads CDC’s Children’s Preparedness Unit, will discuss the link between public health planners and pediatricians in addressing the special needs of children in disasters. The unique needs and characteristics of children make it important to identify and incorporate special considerations into preparedness, mitigation, response, recovery, and resilience-building plans and actions. During this webinar, participants will learn why pediatric preparedness is important, specific threats to children, and key planning principles, partners, and resources.
