Presenters will discuss how power outages related to emergencies such as wildfires, hurricanes, and winter storms, whether planned or unplanned, create significant challenges for federal, state, and local communities. In addition, participants will learn how PHEP jurisdictions can leverage best practices, identify planning actions, and mitigation measures. Speakers will demonstrate how the use of preparedness strategies, new data and health information technology capabilities, tools, and resources help prevent adverse health impacts from power outages.
