Pursuant to 210 ILCS 9/111 of the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act and 210 ILCS 45/3- 811 of the Nursing Home Care Act, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Office of Health Systems will be collaborating with long-term care stakeholders to conduct a series of joint training courses. These sessions will include provider, surveyor, and association-focused training opportunities designed to support consistent regulatory understanding and promote quality and safety across Illinois’ long-term care settings.
This first session will focus on Assisted Living and Shared Housing establishments. Topics will include the Assisted Living survey process, survey preparation, and an overview of the Ombudsman’s role.
