Meeting • November 30, 2022 Pediatric RSV Illness Discussion for Chicago Outpatient Settings

The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) invites your organization to a 1 hour forum with the CDPH Office of the Chief Medical Officer for outpatient providers in Chicago to discuss the current state of pediatric respiratory viral illnesses, including opportunities and the need for ongoing collaboration across the City this fall/winter season. Topics for discussion will include the following:

1. How has pediatric care for respiratory viral illnesses looked like within your healthcare system this season in terms of challenges and successes in responding to high patient volumes?
   
2. How are the high volumes of sick pediatric patients impacting service delivery for your healthcare system?
   
3. Has your healthcare system expanded or considered expanding urgent care capacity for peds, including increasing telehealth availability? Why or why not?
   
4. What systems and patient-facing messages are in place within your healthcare system to manage peds patient referrals to the ED?
