The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has introduced a new cyber resilience campaign entitled Operation Winter Securing Homeland Infrastructure by Enhancing Layered Defense (SHIELD), led by the FBI’s Cyber Division. Operation Winter SHIELD is a cyber resilience campaign that positions industry as critical allies with the FBI and partners in detecting, confronting, and dismantling cyber threats. The campaign distills the FBI’s ten most impactful actions organizations can take to improve resilience against cyber intrusions, with recommendations developed with domestic and international partners and drawn from recent investigations. Operation Winter SHIELD provides a practical roadmap to better secure information technology and operational technology environments, hardening digital infrastructure and reducing the attack surface.
