About Crystal
Crystal Carey is the Emergency Department Director/Emergency Management Coordinator at Loretto Hospital. In her current role, Crystal has dealt with many real-life emergencies and events, including the Chicago NATO summit in 2012, the polar vortex of 2019, full utility outages/shutdowns, and COVID-19. Crystal has served as an active Chicago Healthcare System Coalition for Preparedness and Response (CHSCPR) committee member for over 12 years, including for the Training and Exercise Committee. Crystal recently served as CHSCPR’s Healthcare Chair and is the Coalition’s current Past Healthcare Chair.
