About Eleanor
Eleanor Duren is the Grants Research Specialist for the Hospital Preparedness Program at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). In her current role, Eleanor manages CDPH’s ASPR Hospital Preparedness Program federal grant, which includes a comprehensive understanding of the program’s tasks and goals along with oversight of the grant application, and financial and programmatic reporting processes. Eleanor earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and her Master of Public Health degree from DePaul University. Eleanor was also a Graduate Intern with the Emergency Preparedness Program at CDPH and wrote her thesis on emergency preparedness in long-term care facilities.
