About Eleanor
Eleanor Duren is the Project Manager for the Hospital Preparedness Program at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). In her role, Eleanor manages Hospital Preparedness Program initiatives and response efforts. She also oversees the monitoring of regional medical surge capabilities during both real and planned events. Eleanor also has extensive knowledge of CDPH’s ASPR Hospital Preparedness Program federal grant. Eleanor earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and her Master of Public Health degree from DePaul University. Eleanor was also a Graduate Intern with the Emergency Preparedness Program at CDPH and wrote her thesis on emergency preparedness in long-term care facilities.
