About Mackenzie

Mackenzie Daniels is the Readiness and Response Coordinator for the Chicago Healthcare System Coalition for Preparedness and Response, serving as a clinical advisor and liaison between hospitals, the Chicago Department of Public Health, and other emergency preparedness partners across the city. Mackenzie is based at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she helps lead the hospital’s internal preparedness efforts and supports its role as Chicago’s Regional Hospital Coordination Center. Before transitioning into preparedness, Mackenzie spent eight years as a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis. Mackenzie holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is currently pursuing her MSN with a focus on population health.
