The FBI IC3 released its 2025 Internet Crime Report, highlighting trends and data derived from complaints IC3 received regarding cyber-enabled crimes, including cyber threats targeting health care organizations. The report identifies that critical infrastructure sectors, including the health care and public health sector, continue to be targeted by ransomware and other malicious activity, and notes that the top 10 reported ransomware variants most impacted the critical manufacturing, health care and public health, and government facilities sectors.
