CDC reports that the amount of acute respiratory illness causing people to seek health care is high for the first time in the current 2025-2026 season. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and seasonal influenza levels are elevated in many areas of the country with emergency department visits and hospitalizations increasing among children 0-4 years old.
