About Timothy

Tim Curtis is a flight nurse with UChicago Medicine with more than 30 years of clinical and leadership experience spanning air medical transport, emergency nursing, disaster response, and healthcare operations. Tim holds a Master of Science in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management from Arkansas State University and completed a Disaster Medicine Fellowship and Administrative & Leadership Training Program in Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center through Harvard Medical School. Tim has served in multiple leadership capacities, including national positions as a Board Member of the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association and a Guidelines Committee member for the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. Tim is a longtime Chair of the UCAN Safety Committee, a member of the Chicago Healthcare Coalition’s Training and Exercise Committee, and a subject matter expert for the Illinois EMSC Pediatric Preparedness Workgroup. A frequent national and international speaker, Tim focuses on critical care transport, tactical and disaster response, clinical operations, business continuity, and operational safety. Outside of work, Tim loves to travel and spend time with family.
