The National Advisory Committee on Seniors and Disasters will host a public meeting to discuss and deliberate questions on Climate and Health Equity posed by the HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.

The work of this committee includes assisting the Chair, Region 11 RHCC, in providing adequate medical evaluation and care planning during incidents that exceed the limits of the normal medical infrastructure within the community.  Those with particular interest and/or expertise in pediatrics are encouraged to participate. Dr. Sandy Schneider and Dr. Carolyn Gould of the CDC will discuss the vector borne disease resources that are available to help emergency physicians care for their patients.
