About Mikisha
Mikisha Oden is the Grants Research Specialist for the Hospital Preparedness Program at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). In her current role, Mikisha monitors grant-funded projects, working with program staff to ensure proposed programs are properly implemented and following grantors’ funding requirements. Mikisha also engages with city healthcare partners during large city events or incidents. Mikisha earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Administration from Dillard University and her Master of Business Administration from Governors State University. Prior to CDPH, Mikisha worked at City Colleges of Chicago and Chicago Public Schools where she monitored and updated reporting for various federal and local grants, along with other fiscal compliance responsibilities.
